Diamond Harbour Football Club was founded on the auspicious occasion of Bengali New Year - April 15, 2022 by All India Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and Hon'ble MP of Diamond Harbour Shri Abhishek Banerjee at the Bata Stadium ground in Maheshtala, South 24 Parganas.

OUR AIM
The sole purpose of the club will be to upgrade and improve the facilities & infrastructure available for football in Bengal and bring back the lost glory!. The club was launched with the aim to provide exposure to promising youngsters. Our target is to qualify for the CFL Premier A.
Within a couple of years we hope to qualify for the Premier A or B. We are confident of reaching greater heights within four-five years. If needed, we will also make a foray into ISL.

All India Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and Hon'ble Member of Parliament Shri Abhishek Banerjee is someone who constantly strives for the betterment of youth. Having served as the former National Youth President of AITC, his understanding of the youth is wide. As a Member of Parliament as well, he has repeatedly focused on issues related to young people, protecting their interests, providing them with the best possible infrastructure across the constituency. more

Born in Zizurkil, Basque Country to a family who own a steel factory, instead of taking up the family business, Vicuña chose football. His parents are from San Sebastián and his brothers are from Pamplona, the city where he arrived at the age of nine. more
