Diamond Harbour FC Established with the vision of adding to Bengal’s footballing glory, Diamond Harbour Football Club is a professional team based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Representing the historic Diamond Harbour region, the club has quickly risen through Indian football—earning promotion from the CFL First Division to the Premier Division, clinching the I-League 3 title, and lifting the I-League 2 trophy in the 2024–25 season. In their debut at the prestigious Durand Cup, Diamond Harbour FC created history by reaching the finals, where they faced North East United FC in a thrilling match. The club’s mission is to nurture homegrown talent and provide pathways for young footballers through a values-driven academy system. With a blend of promising Indian players and seasoned international signings, Diamond Harbour FC now looks forward to competing in the Indian Super League while proudly carrying Bengal’s football legacy forward.

Diamond Harbour Football Club aims to elevate football in Bengal by developing world-class infrastructure, nurturing young talent through a structured and values-driven academy system, and restoring the region’s rich footballing heritage. Our mission is to provide aspiring players with professional-level exposure, holistic development opportunities, and modern facilities that foster growth both on and off the pitch. We are committed to engaging with the community, promoting inclusivity, and making football accessible to all. To strengthen our squad and raise the competitive standard, we actively scout and sign high-quality international players who bring valuable experience and skill to the team, complementing our homegrown talent. After a remarkable journey—rising from the CFL First Division to the Premier Division, winning the I-League 3 title, and emerging as I-League 2 Champions in the 2024–25 season—we now proudly set our sights on establishing ourselves as a competitive force in the Indian Super League, while continuing to inspire the next generation and uphold the spirit of the beautiful game in Bengal.

Our rise through the ranks — from the CFL First Division to the CFL Premier Division, then I-League 3 CHAMPIONS, I-League 2, and now the I-League — in just THREE YEARS is nothing short of extraordinary. Born in Zizurkil, Basque Country to a family who own a steel factory, instead of taking up the family business, Vicuña chose football. His parents are from San Sebastián and his brothers are from Pamplona, the city where he arrived at the age of nine. more
